Both the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health and the East of England Service have a Waiting Well project which aims to help you prepare for your appointments and aid you in knowing what to expect from the care pathway.
We have two information packs which you can download and read. These contain a wealth of information and can hopefully answer any questions you have about our services.
This welcome Pack will give you not just important information but will also mean you can feel more confident about your own treatment pathway and make the whole process clearer. We encourage everybody on the waiting list to download and read the Welcome Pack.
For the Nottingham service, you can find the welcome pack here: NCTH Welcome Pack.pdf
For the East of England service, you can find the welcome pack here: EOE Welcome Pack.pdf
Both of these Welcome Packs are available in a Word format for digital readers and large print on request.
As part of the Waiting Well project, we also regularly offer open days. These are both online and in-person and offer the chance for us to introduce the care pathway to you and for you to ask questions of us about your care. If you are nervous about your first appointment, the Open Days are a great way to put your mind at rest, meet some of our staff, and also get to know the building a bit.
We have so far run open days on:
The Open Days are advertised on our website, our social media, and we occasional send out invites via text message as well.
Note: We have many people on our waiting list and so we often run a ballot when our open days are over-subscribed. Please do not travel to us unless you have received a confirmation email.
